International Association of Motorcycle Display Teams

Seit dem 04.04.2003 haben sich die folgenden Motorradstaffeln zusammengeschlossen:

- The IMPS
- The White Helmets = Royal Signals
- The Flying Gunners = Royal Artillery
- Armens Lejon = Swedish Army Lions
- Motorradstaffel Polizei Hamburg

die sich gegenseitig freundschaftlich helfen, beraten und unterstützen wollen.

Aiming for higher standards of excellence in Motorcycle Displays.

Following an initiative from one of the founding members, a conference was held at the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, London in April 2003. The conference was attended by representatives of ;

Flying Gunners  [Motorcycle Display Team of the Royal Artillery]
Motorradstaffel Polizei Hamburg  [Motorcycle Display Team of the Hamburg Police.]
IMPS Motorcycle Display Team  [Motorcycle Display Team of the IMPSTART Trust.]
Swedish Army Lions  [Armens Lejon Motorcycle Display Team]
White Helmets  [The Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team]

Presentations were given by Metropolitan Police Motorcyclists and the chief executive of the Autocycle Union. Also represented, providing advice and guidance were specialist Insurance Brokers and Underwriters.

This is the first time a conference of top Motorcycle Display Teams has ever been held and those attending agreed that there was much to learn from each other. Experience to share for the mutual benefit of those present and in conclusion it was decided to form an association for the mutual, benefit of suitable Motorcycle Display Teams in order to represent their specialist skills and needs.

A further conference is to be held during the autumn where the associations charter will be formalised. Further information will then be available for those interested on this site.
